On July fourth we all decided to go on a hike. There are so many wonderful trails around here Andy and I wanted to start getting on them as soon as possible. It was H-O-T, but it was a great trip.
We had no intentions of going out and seeing fireworks with the kids, but we were pleasantly surprised that from our driveway we could see the town's fireworks display from a nearby park. It was wonderful! As you can see Joseph was a little curious as to what this was all about. He can now confidently say he's done something Samuel hasn't. That Joseph, he's quite the overachiever!
One thing I thought we would really miss from the Honey Farm was the wildlife. Boy, were we wrong. There is so much wildlife in our backyard. We've seen a ton of critters. It's been great to see them feel so comfortable hanging around.
While I'm cooking dinner these days I've had a rule: Andy takes the boys either to the water park to play or to the elementary school to watch a soccer game (there's one there each night). I love cooking dinner, but dinner time is usually the craziest time in our house and it really takes the fun out of mealtime, so this has been our solution. Everyone wins!
Just a few pictures from early July of our boys and their blossoming friendship.
Are you noticing the overall look that Joseph gives? His eyes are HUGE and with those intense looks they look even bigger. Yet another reason why we call him 'Joe Frog.' We're so in love with our baby's bug eyes!
Lots more pictures to come until we're up to date.
