Maymont Park

Early one morning a friend called and asked us if we were up for an adventure that day. So instead of spending our Monday like we usually do, cleaning the house, we opted for the way more exciting option. We loaded up the kids and headed to Richmond for the day to visit Maymont Park! It's a 100 acre estate with a mansion, an Italian garden, a Japanese garden, a petting zoo and a bunch of wildlife! It was beautiful.

While we were there we drove by one of my old apartments I lived at when I went to college in Richmond. The boys were so confused that they didn't remember that place and asked who watched them when I went to my classes. Adorable.

And as I suspected, the dust and dirt were waiting for me when I got home.

Mother's Day

I love my life, but I'm not going to lie, I look forward to Mother's Day every year! I love having a day off of my household chores and being waited on hand and foot. Andy and the kids always do such an amazing job making me feel so loved and appreciated.

With that said, I'm fairly easy to please :) This year my only requests were that I could sleep in, didn't prepare any food all day and that I got to go strawberry picking!

Annabelle even helped Daddy with dinner!

It was the perfect day in every way!

Birthday Fun

It's that time of year again where it seems like 95% of the population of the earth was born. Which is great for me, because it offers me an opportunity to sew! Something I haven't been doing much of lately and miss.

Here are some party pictures:

Faith Like a Child

As soon as Annabelle hears music or you say the words 'praise God' her hands fly up. Seeing a tiny little child lifting their hands to the Lord is pretty much the most beautiful thing imaginable in my eyes.

Thank God for Brothers

This picture series below is an hourly occurance in our home. It's too cute to forget, so I've wanted to document it. I finally was able to!

Here Annabelle is playing nicely:

I have asked the boys countless times to not make a big deal out of it when she falls but as you can see they simple are not able to ignore their precious crying sister! Such sweethearts.
