Every Morning

As the struggles of this world threaten to steal our joy, our family finds it pivotal to upon waking, sit and rest in His truth. With each new morning it brings hope of seeing God move in our lives. We wait with anticipation for Him to give us a glimpse of His power and might. Our LORD has shown up in great and mighty ways. Hope does not disappoint.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:22-24

I love mornings like this one where we lingered upstairs and played instead of rushing the kitchen for food.

He is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness
after rain that brings the grass from the earth.' 2 Samuel 23:4

O LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning,
our salvation in time of distress. Isaiah 33:2

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light
shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God
in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
