Thankful Thursday
We do this "Thankful Thursday" bit, not to boast, or brag or show all the things that are going right in our world, but to pause and check ourselves and to force us to look on the bright side of life and praise the Lord for all he has given us. It does not always come easy or feel natural to be thankful. Some Thursdays I am tempted to write a list of all the things that aren't going right. Today is one of those days...
We are thankful that we are all healthy.
We are thankful that we had a safe and fun trip to Hilton Head.
We are thankful that Aunt Julie successfully graduated from UVA.
We are thankful for our family and friends.
We are thankful that our Lord is the maker of heaven and earth, the lover of our souls and that he keeps his promises!
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7We are thankful that in less than a week (if all goes well) we will be home 'owners.'
Therefore I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to your name. 2 Samuel 22:50

We were on vacation last week in South Carolina. We had a fun, but very wet time! Enjoy the photos.

Thankful Thursday
~We are really thankful the rain has stopped. It's been a long week having to stay indoors.
~We are thankful that we had an awesome week with our friend, Samuel, who came to play each morning.
~Joseph is thankful that he is getting some hair! Maybe his sweet little head won't get burned this summer. Good thing he likes wearing hats.
~We are thankful we finally got all of our seeds planted. We were late getting them in and are moving in a month to a very shady yard, but we have high hopes for our veggies!
~Samuel is thankful that Gamba finally got in his crib!
~I am thankful I have such great helpers feeding the animals.
~We are thankful that we finally have our Virginia license plates on! We've had them for about a month and haven't put them on, only about 10 months too late :) It will be hard saying goodbye to our Indiana plates. I loved that they said "In God We Trust" and were the standard plate for the state!
~We are thankful for our new friends that are coming over for dinner tonight.

Stop Taking Pictures
As I was going through the photos and videos of April I came across this hilarious video of Samuel, complete with lots of nose picking. Enjoy.

The Men Go Hiking
On Saturday, the 'men' went on a hike at Ragged Mountain while I went out with some friends. By the looks of it they had a blast. Enjoy the pictures.

Buy Coffee! Help End Sex Trafficking and Slavery!
This month, drinking great coffee can literally change lives.
During the month of May Storyville Coffee is dedicating 100% of its revenue to IJM — up to $1,000,000 — to stop slavery, human trafficking, and other forms of violent oppression.
Simply go to WWW.STORYVILLE.COM, purchase coffee, receive fresh roasted coffee beans in the mail, brew and enjoy — or consider a gift of gourment coffee for Mother's Day or to celebrate graduations this month.
Storyville is based on the idea that coffee is a ritual that gives us time to think, create and dream. In dreaming, we remember those who cannot. Your support can enable victims of modern-day slavery to dream again and to build new lives.
