Rosemary's First Trip

During the first 2 weeks of her life, Rosemary was able to meet all 6 of her grandparents, 1 set of great-grandparents, and her aunt. Pretty impressive!

The only downfall of having a newborn in the winter is that finding good things to do with the family during the cold winter days is hard. With a summer baby you can go to a park and just sit there and nurse on a bench and let the older kids play, but not with a winter baby. Everyone we know has been sick, so in an effort to stay well, we've been staying at home quite often. Needless to say, Mama was getting quite stir crazy.

Annabelle wasn't feeling well on Saturday, but woke up on Sunday feeling fine, so we decided to get out of the house for a few days and head up to MD to celebrate Christmas with family. But, by the time we got there Samuel wasn't feeling well and Annabelle started not feeling great again. Then the next day Andy and I felt bad. Then we passed it on to Andy's parents!

Even though Rosemary's umbilical cord fell off on day 5, we hadn't given her her first real bath until we were there. She was cold and not happy for most of the experience. She's still super cute when she's screaming, though.

We were there for New Year's Eve so we had a little party with the kids.

My goodness, what a full and exciting 2012 we had!

Rosemary - 2 Weeks Old

Sleeping Ebba

Ever since Annabelle could speak, she has called herself "Abba". But, it's pronounced Ebba. It stuck and now everyone calls her that.

Annabelle wasn't feeling well and Andy took some pictures of her sleep on the couch. I am so glad I finally came around and let him take pictures with my camera. He's really good!

Pretty Pretty Princess

Daddy's Christmas Present

A wrestling mat. He's trying to convince me that it's for the whole family. Like here it's being used as a nice and cozy reading mat.

Sam wanted to stay off the mat to man the tape player since we were reading a new book on tape that we got from some friends for Christmas, but Daddy is confident that all of us can fit on there if we tried. Haha! It's amazing what makes this man happy.

Nana Times Four

I have not done a great job taking photos of Rosemary with all of her family members. But seconds before my mom left for the airport we got this shot:

We cannot even handle how Annabelle looks in this photo. I mean, seriously?! She is a complete HOOT!

Christmas Day 2012

I took one photo on Christmas, and this is it. So glad I was able to capture this precious picture. It will certainly be one to treasure forever.

Daddy got Annabelle a banjo for Christmas. She was so excited!

Joseph got a migraine on Christmas and started throwing up as we were getting out of the car for Christmas dinner. Andy ended up taking him home and caring for him while the rest of us stayed and ate. It was so sad. He ended up having the migraine for more than 2 days.

Our dear friend, Kim, joined us for Christmas dinner, which was such a special treat!

Big Day for Our Girls

On the 22nd, Annabelle turned 2 1/2 and Rosemary turned 1 week old.

Daddy and Rosemary

Daddy is just busting with love for his newest daughter. He keeps commenting on how excited he is to have two little girls in the family. As much as he loves wrestling and stick fighting with the boys, he sure has a very big soft spot for his little girls!

First Car Ride

Rosemary was not a fan of going outside in the cold and getting into this contraption that strapped her in while sitting up. But, as soon as I started the car and was backing out she quieted down right away... and then fell asleep. Since these photos, she's been in the car several times and has done well each time. Quite encouraging!

Tre and the Boys

Tre's mom made us a meal on Friday and Tre came with her to surprise the boys. He brought them some Christmas presents - wooden knives! They opened them up and immediately started running around the house playing with them. They've always wanted Tre to come over and play and their dream finally came true!

Life doesn't get any better than this for our boys. A newborn sister, Tre coming home from college, a playdate with wooden knives, and then Christmas!

Soaking Up Rosemary

We cannot get enough of this girl. She is simply perfect.
