Box 'O Fun

It's amazing what enjoyment a box will bring to a family. Not what comes in the box, but the box itself, completely empty. Andy and the kids, Rosie included, spent an ENTIRE evening playing with a box. For the boys and Andy it included taping each other up, tipping the box on it's head and then timing how long it took to get out. For the girls, it was a simpler version of that.

Rosie and Food

It's clear this chubby likes her food. She especially likes that some of the food is even at her level. She is sure to let us know when she's hungry for a snack now.

Sam's Richmond Gymnastics Meet

It has been one of the coolest things to watch Samuel compete in such a big event at such a young age. He did incredibly well this season in gymnastics. It has been neat to watch him improve so much throughout the year. We're so thankful for such a great opportunity for him.

Placed 3rd for vault.

Winter

Winter was full of lots of tea parties, reading, snuggling and games. We did attempt to go out on one of the coldest days and try to make bubbles freeze, but didn't have much luck. Blowing bubbles indoors ended up being much more enjoyable.

Big Friends

Over the years I have prayed for older friends for our children to have in their lives. The Lord has so gracious provided that in abundance for us. We have two particular families in our lives that love our children in such special ways. They truly feel like family.

Over the Christmas break, two of those friends came home from being away for the semester, came over and spent an extended period of time with our children. I sometimes wonder if those kids know how deeply they are impacting my children's lives. But, in a way, I think they do. I'm fairly certain that their parents prayed the same prayers for them, they saw God provide and now they are loving our kids out of the overflow of their hearts. God is so faithful!

Candlelight Dinners

I found 100 tea light candles at IKEA for dirt cheap, so I bought them and we have been having regular candlelight dinners. It adds such a special touch to our dinner time. The kids just love it.
