New Year's Eve

We were gearing up for a hike and ran into some neighborhood friends at the trailhead. We joined up and went on our adventure together.  I was able to meander along and play with my camera while Andy had some good conversation. A perfect way to end a fantastic year!

We finished the night of with some homemade seltzer water and juice.
A huge hit.

Christmas with Extended Family

We went to Maryland Christmas afternoon to celebrate with Andy's sister, mom and stepdad.

Their adorable (healthy version) gingerbread house!

The gorgeous present we got from Julie!

We went to Richmond to visit with Andy's dad and stepmom, but we didn't get any pictures there. I even had my camera. Frustrating! But imagine, our cute kids at a kid's museum with their happy grandparents here:

Then, my grandparents stopped by for a short visit on their way down to Florida for the winter. I did manage to take a couple pictures with them:

I just adore this picture of my grandma with Annabelle.

Christmas Morning

Acting out the story of the birth of Christ as Andy read.
They chose the cutest little birth of Christ story this morning.
I think he liked what he got.
The boys and their pillows. So happy.
The world is complete in the boys' eyes. Annabelle has a cape, too!

A new Christmas morning tradition implemented by Daddy.
It also provided a great Christmas morning gift to neighbors!
Annabelle was sad she didn't get a sword.
So, Daddy saved the day and made her one.

Christmas Preperations

The makings of a waldorf doll

I asked them what they wanted for Christmas, and they replied
"Circle pillows that we make with you."
Not sure how they came up with that idea, but I loved every second of the
individual dates I took with them to make them.
Salt dough ornaments for family
Grayson and Annabelle's his and her capes.

Someone Turned 18 Months!

Christmas Caroling

We went Christmas caroling at a nursing home nearby last night and I just had to snap a picture of these precious ones in their Christmas attire.

Our Advent Season

As we've been preparing our hearts and our home for Christ's birth, I've been especially enjoying the precious moments that my new camera can capture. While I haven't even found the time to read the manual, I've been pleased with the camera thus far. Here's a sneak peak of a few things that we've been up to.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
