Hiding God's Word in Our Hearts
Each week of School Bus School we've learned a Bible verse. Here are the boys reciting their verses from the first 5 weeks:
I highly recommend this book to use for teaching kids Scripture.
Psalm 119:9-11
How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word.
I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.

Hearing Back From the Boys - Pt 1
Oh my! You all are so sweet. The boys are over the moon excited by all of your 'letters' to them. They can't wait to answer your questions. It's going to take several posts to get them all answered, but here are the first of them:
What is your favorite part of having a sister?
What is your favorite food?
Thanks Miss Kim for the great questions! Stay tuned for more...

Mealtime Fun
Note: 1). Joseph had already had his breakfast before Samuel woke up. And you wonder why Samuel is so tiny and Joseph is such a linebacker... you wonder no more! 2). Boys are crazy. Nothing they do is calm. And in some strange way I love every second of it.

Laundry Time
I just love how cheerful these two are doing chores. They make the simplest things so much fun.

Temper Tantrum Elbow
A couple weekends ago, I was walking with Joseph somewhere he wasn't interested in going and he dropped to the ground in protest while I was holding his hand. He immediately starting crying and refused to use his arm. Every time we tried to move it he would scream. With a little research we found out that he had Nursemaid Elbow, which is also more appropriately called Temper Tantrum Elbow.
Click HERE to read more about Nursemaid Elbow. It's good to know the facts.
We were out of town but heading back home that night so we called our Pediatrician and he said he would stop over in the morning if it hadn't popped back into place on its own. So that afternoon, night and the next morning he still wasn't using his arm. I called our doctor and he was going to come over at 10am. 9:38ish rolled around and Joseph fell on his elbow and popped it right back into place. It was awesome. We bypassed a large doctors bill and he was immediately healed. Now we get a lot of laughs out of Joe having temper tantrum elbow!
Here's a video while Joseph was hurt, he was sitting still in my lap on the hammock and babbling away. Two things he rarely does.

A Star Is Born
This past weekend the boys got a tee ball set. Samuel has been playing non stop. He's gotten so good, he's already playing without the tee. This kid has got some talent. He's going to be a baseball star, just like daddy. Check out his skills!

Thankful Thursday (EDITED)
We are thankful for a video on our camera to capture these precious moments!
Edited to add: I'm so sorry friends to report that Samuel did not get a jelly bean that night. He did go the entire day though without needing a new diaper! We're trying to figure out if he should get a special treat if that's the case. Any suggestions?

Slow Down!
Joseph, you are growing up entirely too fast, buddy. I beg of you slow down, or else I'm going to want another baby around the house... and I know you wouldn't like that very much!

Favorite Words
The boys are helping me with the dishes.
Joseph is repeating his favorite word, Mama; and Samuel is repeating his new favorite word, Samuel.
Thought the grandparents would enjoy :)

MaMa
I knew after all this pain and sacrifice of tending to my littlest one I would get some appreciation, it would just take some time. But, I didn't think it would come this early!
For the past week or so Joseph has started saying Ma-Ma. If he's hungry and wants to nurse he'll start saying it. Last night he woke up and wanted to eat and was in his crib next to us and Andy and I woke up to him just really quietly calling out to me. It was so adorable. It melts my heart!
This is extra special to me because Samuel's first word was Dada, and Mama came much later. I guess it sure shows what a Mama's boy this kid really is. In case any of us weren't convinced prior to this :)

Sam Dog
This video definitely needs some explaining. Andy and I call Samuel "Sam Dog" quite a bit. He had never really said his name before and then this day he repeated it after Andy when he called him Sam Dog. He kept saying it and saying it. He was so proud of himself.
I tried to video tape him, but he was too camera shy, so I let him run the video while he said it and it worked. So, forgive the video of my neck! The audio well makes up for it, though. Oh, to have a toddler :)
Now that he has his name above his bed while he's going down to sleep we'll hear him practicing his name over and over again. He's even started to say Samuel now. It's precious.
