Thankful Thursday

We do this "Thankful Thursday" bit, not to boast, or brag or show all the things that are going right in our world, but to pause and check ourselves and to force us to look on the bright side of life and praise the Lord for all he has given us. It does not always come easy or feel natural to be thankful. Some Thursdays I am tempted to write a list of all the things that aren't going right. Today is one of those days...
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7

Therefore I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to your name. 2 Samuel 22:50
We are thankful that in less than a week (if all goes well) we will be home 'owners.'
We are thankful that we are all healthy.
We are thankful that we had a safe and fun trip to Hilton Head.
We are thankful that Aunt Julie successfully graduated from UVA.
We are thankful for our family and friends.
We are thankful that our Lord is the maker of heaven and earth, the lover of our souls and that he keeps his promises!

Thanks for modeling the way we should live...being thankful even when it's not easy to do so! And, thanks for being real!!

Being a homeowner is fun.(But work because the landlord to fix things isn't there anymore!) I hope all goes well for you all!

I appreciated what you said about Thankfulness. It is very true. I am so blessed to have two parents that have modeled being thankful in every situation. Being thankful certianly helps attitudes to improve. And that is something I can appreciate!
