Note: 1). Joseph had already had his breakfast before Samuel woke up. And you wonder why Samuel is so tiny and Joseph is such a linebacker... you wonder no more! 2). Boys are crazy. Nothing they do is calm. And in some strange way I love every second of it.

Orphan Sunday is November 8th
No one knows exactly the number of orphans in the world, but it has been estimated anywhere from 132 to 143 million. That's more than my mind can fathom.
James 1:27 ~ Religion that God our father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
In response to that I'm listing 10 ways we can care for orphans:
1. PRAY for them
2. SPEAK UP for them
3. PROVIDE for their needs
4. SUPPORT those who support them
5. PROTECT them from harm
6. VISIT them where they are
7. GIVE sacrificially to them
8. ENCOURAGE them to press on
9. ADOPT them into your family
10. MOBILIZE your church for them
Go to www.orphansunday.org for more information.
Make sure to check out the Resources page as well for some You Tube videos.

Thankful Thursday
Wow, it's been a long time since I've been able to do a Thankful Thursday post.
This week we are thankful for:
~ Our incredible husband and father that has been working so hard around our home to get some projects done!
~ The weather - what perfect weather we've been having.
~ Our pastor and his family has been officially granted custody of their newest daughter and she will be in VA by the end of November, Lord willing!
~ Our precious little boys who make our lives so full and bring so much joy to our lives.
~ The boys' new sand table. They have been asking for one for months and it's finally here.
~ OUR NEW COMPUTER!!!
Hope you're having a great week!

Birds and Their Houses
Once I had the fabric for the boys' room and did the trees on the walls I wanted to take it a step further and get some birdhouses and sew some three dimensional birds and put them on some branches. So I went online and found some bird mobiles that were some great inspirations. 100's of them! I had no idea that birds in nurseries were the rage right now. Guess my idea wasn't so original after all. I've already done the fabric birdhouses but just today found this photo below which looks so similar. Aren't they both adorable?!? Great inspiration to get on those birds! I'll hopefully be sharing my finished mobile soon.

Long Awaited Pictures II
Long Awaited Pictures
These are the pictures that were just on my camera. I've still got a bunch that are on our old computer that I've got to find a way to get off. But for now, I'm sure you'll enjoy these while you wait.
Hiking in NC at G&G Eckert's on our way home from the adoption conference. Grandpa made them their own hiking sticks.
Such troopers at the conference.

Together for Adoption
This past weekend our family traveled to Tennessee for the Together for Adoption conference. It was amazing. If you are at all interested in adoption, or even if you aren't, I would recommend listening to the last session by Russell Moore found here. It is fabulous!
Our internet is back to not working so sorry no plans of pictures yet...
