Soccer Enthusiast

As parents of two little boys that will inevitably grow up to be on the shorter side of life we want to encourage them to excel in areas they could potentially be great at. Soccer is one of those things. Andy and I both played soccer for awhile and we both love the sport. Andy wishes he would have pursued it harder when he was a kid. So, in a way we are trying to give these boys a head start on their skills. We bought Samuel a soccer ball for his second Christmas, when he was 17 months and Andy has been working with him ever since. This kid is good!

We have an elementary school less than an 1/8 of a mile away and there is a great soccer field there as well as an endurance course. When Andy takes the boys while I'm making dinner he most often goes to the soccer field so Samuel and he can watch the soccer game that is almost always going on and to pick up some tips. Next year he can play on a team. We are so excited for him to have that opportunity!
