Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan. Form dough into a ball, place on waxed paper, and allow to cool.

Variations:
~ Kneed food coloring into cool dough as desired. (2 drops per handful).
~ For sparkling dough, knead a generous amount of glitter into cool dough.

I have been planning on making playdough soon. Adding peppermint is a neat idea. I think I will have to try that. Megan is very much enjoying playdough lately.
