In the Kitchen

The boys and I adore cooking and baking together. So one aspect of School Bus School this year is that we are going to try and make one new thing a week. It's amazing how many subjects you can involve while in the kitchen.

We've made doughnuts:

English muffins, with our special guest chef, Miss Maddy:

And some yogurt:

What shall we try next week?

Thanks to The Pioneer Woman and her a-mazing step-by-step instructions. There's no way they would have come out looking that good w/o her! Wish you lived closer, we had a TON left over :)

Ok, I may just have to try making those donuts- my mouth is watering just looking at them. Funny, English muffins were on my list to try this week... do those have raisins? yum!
(Also your yogurt looks great! Did you make plain, or vanilla? How do you guys like it?)

It was our first time, so we just made plain. I'm making another batch tonight since they devoured it all. I actually didn't try it. I'm not a huge yogurt fan, but it's super easy to make and WAY cheaper!

We made one batch of plain muffins and another cin. raisin. They were delicious!

Highly recommend them all :)

hmmm...the donut recipe does not look that simple to me:) I love to cook - but don't really like to bake. I thought I might try these with Samuel this afternoon, but I think I'll just wait until you make another batch:) And so - yes, you are amazing!

M~ We for sure will bring some over next time we make them. Or even better, you all could come over next time we make them! They are totally not healthy so it will be awhile until we make them, but they are oh so delicious!
