Amy, Have you ever Heard of Charlotte Mason. She is a Christian lady that many, including myself, follow her homschooling philosophy. She wrote 5 books in the early 1900's about raising, training, educating, etc. children. She is all about nature and learning by exploring, and reading "living books"... I could go on and on. She is the reason I homeschool, and her principals seem very much like the way you guys live. Anyway, you can find out more about her on amblesideonline.org or go to ebay and type in her name and many books come up where you can read about her and her philosophy.
Anyway, I just thought I would mention that in case you were interested. When I read your blog I think about the way Charlotte Mason teaches about educating children.
You are the most precious nephew in the entire world (you too Joseph!) I can't wait to come visit you so that we can play together outside in the nice weather! The last time we played in Indiana you were so little and kept jumping out of the baby pool, now you are capable of carrying Dada's big hatchet!

Thanks, Gina. I will definitely look at her website. I've heard of her, but didn't know what she was all about.
Dear Samuel,
You are the most precious nephew in the entire world (you too Joseph!) I can't wait to come visit you so that we can play together outside in the nice weather! The last time we played in Indiana you were so little and kept jumping out of the baby pool, now you are capable of carrying Dada's big hatchet!
Love,
Aunt Julie
