Thank you for your comments. Interesting insight into why this law was made... I still think it was a totally unwarranted ticket.
And for those of you who were wondering, Andy was not speeding. He was going the speed limit as he passed the cop. Andy will be able to attend a driving class to take 4 of those points away. He's doing that next week. Not sure what the deal is with our insurance yet, though.

8 points sounds just so HARSH for not slowing down!!! Ouch! But I'm glad he will get 4 points removed after attending driving class. Man, I sure didn't know that law! Hang in there Andy! Mom

Moshe: I'm so sorry your feelings were hurt. But, when I went back over and re-read the blog I felt so bad because it definitely looked like I was serious, and not kidding. So, I had to delete it. I'm not the best at jokes, ya know? I won't mess up like that ever again, I promise.
And to answer your question, and to keep your comment alive, of 'who pooped on my parade'... I didn't know I was having a parade? Is that the rumor going around? If it is, I'll have to have one. Ya know, I don't want to let the natives down.
